New Zealand and Australia have played out a bruising encounter in Brisbane with The All Blacks eventually running out 28 - 24 winners.

The Wallabies dominated the opening quarter of the match but still found thmselves 7 - 3 behind after 25 minutes. A 25 minutes which contained 9 penalties and 22 free kicks - And no yellow card.

The rest of the first half was more of the same right up until the dying seconds when Adam Ashley-Cooper crossed for The Wallabies first try. Matt Giteau added the conversion and the Wallabies headed into the sheds 10 - 7 ahead.

Enter the second half and enter The Wallabies at their finest. Dummy runners, missed passes, hard running and James Horwill the econd row try scoring machine crossed outwide for the first try of the second half. Th Wallabies led 15 - 7, Giteau added the conversion and The Wallabies led 17 - 7.

The All Blacks are nothing but determined and Tony Woodcock ran 20 metres outwide to show just how determined they are, Carter added the conversion and the score was back to 17 - 14 in favour of The Wallabies.

The match ebbed and flowed for the next ten minutes with no one able to take control.

New Zealand took the lead through a Try to Weepu after a simle wrap around, the Kiwis were fortunate that they did not give away a penalty at the previous ruck. This did not matter as Carter added the extras and New Zealand led 21 - 17. Within 5 minutes Dan Carter crossed for a Try, he added the conversion and The All Blacks led 28 - 17.

Australia crossed for a Try with a minute to go through Ryan Cross to set up the grandstand finish, Giteau converted and with a minute to go the score was 28 - 24 to the All Blacks.

New Zealand were able to run down the clock to win both the Tri Nations and The Bledisloe cup.

Whether driving kids to matches or washing the club's shirts, there are many ways you can help.

And it's not just the team and the children that benefit. Volunteering can be a sociable role where you meet new people and learn new skills.

Most sports clubs are run by volunteers and require all kinds of assistance to keep them running smoothly.

You don't even have to be sporty.

Many clubs are eager to recruit volunteers with a range of experience or skills. You may be able to help with:

  • Catering - From pouring half-time drinks to preparing sandwiches for a away match lunch.

  • Transport - Kids need ferrying about. Maybe set up a transport pool so everybody shares the load.

  • Assistant coaching - Equipment might need to be set up. Coaches always need help to run sessions.

  • Administration - Who's available for the next game? You could organise it all by phone or email. Does the team need to register for a league? Maybe you can write the letter.

  • Finance - Has the league subscription fee to a league been paid? Does cash need to be put aside for a special trip? Those with number-crunching skills can help

  • Fundraising - Can you organise sponsorship for the team through your work? Can you run events such as sponsored matches or car boot sales?
  • So why not volunteer to help out?

Utbytta spelare får bytas in igen senare under samma match.

    Gruppspel: 2 x 5 minuter

    Finalspel: 2 x 7 minuter

It is the role of the VRS Rugby Disciplinary Committee to deal with discipline cases where our school player has been Sent Off, or cited.

It is an important role and must be a fair and effective process.

It should take case as soon as possible after a test match, trainee pass and every effort to get the best results of our team.

One of the most important skills for me in rugby is discipline.

You can win or lose a game based on the discipline of your team or an individual player.

I watch a lot of sport and it always amazes me, even among top level professional sportsmen, the lack of self control the players have.

I would like to think the rugby players generally are role models in the way that they control themselves in a highly charged atmosphere.

perhaps it will take more time...but we will be there, thats for sure!

    greetings from the Coach   ;-)
